I guess I wish the companies who sell these rebuild kits would be a lil more honest if there is special tools I need to repair this gun. I bought it in 1982, it is in really good shape but loses air pressure. The tool has a hole at the end where I used a heavy handle punch from Harbor Freight through the hole to act as a lever. The best thing in my opinion about the Mac1 seal kit is it uses white PTFE type valve body gasket seals instead of the lead original. Anyhow, hoping someone here can enlighten me on this gun. Sheridan blue streak repair - removing end cap, Air guns, Airgun Forum. ![]() Was told it was too old to be a soldered tube, though I see on the bottom what appears to be a spot wend at the face of the tube. I am quite mechanical and see no way for this to come out, I have searched the net and read many things about making a spanner wrench, which I see no slots on either end. I asked each of them before I ordered if there was any special tools I would need, was told no on all fronts, hence where I am today. I did what most of the places wanted me to do to identify my gun for the kit. Need input in how to remove a valve assembly from an early 80"s Blue streak. ![]()
